The origin of Education Emporium Sales can be traced back to the 1950s when another company by the name of Education Emporium was established by Mr. Ram Krishna Fouzdar. Inspired and actively encouraged by eminent world renowned Professors Like Dr. Satyendranath Bose and Dr Meghnad Saha and others , R K Fouzdar setup a small and humble factory with only two persons . But the scale of operations was never a hindrance as Mr. Fouzdar came to be known for his excellent enterprising ideas and habits and soon the business began to flourish . It was at this juncture that the educational system underwent changes in West Bengal and there emerged an unprecedented demand for Laboratories of Physics , Chemistry , Biology and Technical Sciences . Education Emporium , by now of growing repute , swelled the size of its workforce and within a matter of six years the company attained a quantum jump in terms of its turnover.

The scale of operations reaching sky high proportions and the need to manage the sales and manufacturing operations from a separate footing led to the creation of the present day Education Emporium Sales in the middle of the Sixties. This new branch was placed in the hands of Mr. G K Fouzdar , younger brother of Mr. R K Fouzdar , and who was also a fresh M.Sc then and under him began a new era in the history of this business . Mr. G K Fouzdar , infused with fresh ideas, led he company on its way to modernisation and the saga of growth continued unabated .Education Emporium Sales went from strength to strength with regard to quality and goodwill and so it is of no surprise today that Mr. G K Fouzdar is the unanimous choice as Chairman of All India Instrument Manufacturers & Dealers Association, Eastern Regional Council, Calcutta for 1999-2000.The efforts of these two pioneering individuals , is today behind the fact that Education Emporium Sales today is known in all of Eastern India and beyond as a house of Quality and is held in high esteem in hundreds of concerns whether private or Governmental .

Education Emporium Sales specialized in the manufacture of basic physical instruments for School & College level & Gas plants to run burners from petrol in the laboratories. The company became famous for making models for manufacture of Sulphuric acid, Ammonia, Blast Furnace, Bessemer-converter, Open Hearth Furnace etc. The development of Polytechnic & Engineering Colleges saw a spurt in the manufacturing range and the company started making equipment's for Mechanical & Hydraulic stream as well. In tune with the advancement of electronics the experiments for Electronics laboratory were also developed. The challenging and changing face of the modern Scientific Industry has been met head on by the company and the product list today is complete in every respect with items of every hue whether it be Physiology, Botany, Zoology, Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical laboratory equipments. Separately as there was a great demand for Medical Hospital & Surgical equipment's the company started supplying the same items to Medical Colleges, nursing homes, health centers and private clinics.
